Thame Youth Centre is a fantastic club with great members and staff that are constantly offering a challenging, interesting and fun programme for young people in the local area. Find Thame Youth Centre on a map.
We open on Monday and Wednesday nights at present and each session offers the choice of various fun and project based activities from learning how to use decks and mix your own tracks to cooking to art to quizzes and competitions. The aim is to make sure that young people decide on the programme and enjoy meeting new friends and trying different things.
Thame is a friendly centre and welcomes new people and ideas so come along and give us a try!
Regular Programme
Bodyzone - Mon (term time)12.25-1.15pm
Informal + confidential health clinic for young people. Info + advice on all aspects of health. Staffed by a youth worker, a counsellor, a family planning nurse and a school nurse. Free provision of contraceptives and pregnancy testing where appropriate.
MUSIC WORKSHOPS - Monday 7 - 9pm
Learn to be a DJ!! Small workshops leading to AQA accreditation. Small groups with professional tuition from DJ Bo. Ring the office and ask to be put on a waiting list for the next sessions.
Bodyzone at lower school - tuesday lunchtimes in term
A new Bodyzone service for those young people who cannot access the Upper school site. It is staffed by a Youth Worker and a school nurse. Feel free to come and talk about any personal or health issues in confidence.
Youthie - Wed 7-9pm
An evening open to all young people aged 11-19 years. There are a variety of activities available including pool, table footie, computer games,air hockey, table tennis, discussion groups, indoor hockey ,art projects and music decks. We also have a coffee bar with seating area.
Quiz Sessions - 1st wed of the month
Monthly quiz with varying prizes. Questions are fun and fast. Only teams may enter. Everyone welcome. If you are on your own just come and join a team!
ISSUE BASED WORKSHOPS - 2nd Wednesday each month
Lively and educational workshops on a variety of subjects relevant to young people today. Subjects such as contraception, access to health care, drugs, bullying, self-esteem, self harm and lots more.

Internet Cafe + computer workshops
21st Century Thame are installing the final phase of the internet facilities at the Youth Centre! Full internet access for free!! Computer workshops also available, call to book places.
