Connexions in Oxfordshire consists of a variety of different services for young people aged 13-19. All young people have access to a Personal Adviser, but some Young People also do more work with special advisors.
What do young people in Oxfordshire want from the Connexions Service in the future?
The Shout it Out Battle of the Bands event in Oxford Community School in spring half term 2007 took an innovative approach to finding out; instead of paying an entrance fee, young people attending the event filled out a form, giving their views about the best direction for the future of youth services in Oxfordshire.
Young people were brought in from all over the county; in all, over 100 attended.

Youth Workers and Connexions workers in the Woodfarm area in Oxford have started a job club for young people in the area. This weekly session allows young people to drop in after school on Tuesdays, and talk to a Connexions PA and/or a Youth Worker. For young people aged16+ there will also be the opportunity to run accredited lifeskills courses with Connexions community section.
