Message from Richard Savage, IAG Manager for Oxfordshire Connexions and Youth Support Services

Lets talk about……………………Us (just for a minute).

From the 1st April 2007 Connexions Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire (Connexions MKOB) will cease to operate the Connexions Service in Oxfordshire. HOWEVER THE SERVICE WE PROVIDE IS NOT CHANGING.

The responsibility for arranging Connexions is being picked up by Oxfordshire County Council. Across the County the current providers of the service are all being maintained. Staff, offices, public centres and arrangements with schools, colleges or community organisations are all continuing.

So, welcome to the new service. We hope that the localising of Connexions allows you to continue and extend the good work currently occurring across the County. In the future our aim is to build on these strengths to more closely understand, link and co-ordinate the range of services demanded by young people in the area. I look forward to your involvement and contributions to this future.
