Connexions Oxfordshire Delivery Plan

Management of the Connexions service will transfer from Connexions Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Ltd to Oxfordshire County Council from 1st April 2007.

The County is inheriting a well performing service with a staff experienced in and committed to delivering high quality purposeful services to young people.

Our main concerns during transition are that services to young people are maintained and that stakeholders are kept informed and involved.

A central team has been created within Oxfordshire Youth Support Services to establish and monitor the arrangements for Connexions activities from April.

The central team will also provide support and reporting services.

New: Final IAG Workforce Model

The 14-19 partnership in Oxfordshire has agreed the final IAG workforce development support model.

The model was developed following consultation with the 14-19 strategy and project groups, secondary head teachers, college principals and Connexions Oxfordshire.

Neet Strategy, IAG Protocol

The 14-19 partnership in Oxfordshire has agreed a NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) strategy and an Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) protocol.

The NEET strategy seeks to focus attention on the issue of NEET and the needs of clients in this situation. The strategy is used to inform the 14-19 action plan and the Connexions delivery plan.

The IAG protocol is intended to model appropriate Information, Advice and Guidance provision in 14-19 provider organisations. It lays out expectation on partners and links to the IAG Quality standards.
