A number of briefing sessions for PAs and other Connexions staff were held across the county during November and December 2007. These briefings were made up of a series of speakers who gave updates on 14-19 reforms, the new Diplomas, on line applications useful for IAG with young people, the local Youth Work offer, and current LSC initiatives. FREE multi-agency training on practical strategies for addressing issues with young people around:
Training from March - Oct includes "Sex in the City", "Child & Adolescent Mental Health" and "Drugs and Alcohol". Full day sessions are free but there is a £35 cancellation charge. Download application form and full details here.

Think Family training is cross service training for anyone who works with Families at risk, young people who care, parents with needs or as part of a whole family approach. Two hour workshops during June and July at a variety of locations, full details here.
An opportunity to meet with locality Social Workers and, with reference to the Oxfordshire threshold of needs Matrix, gain a clearer understanding of social care decision making processes. Appropriate for any staff working with children and young people.
