Reece has already got off to a good start to his term as YMP for North Oxfordshire, with several meetings under his belt including one where methods for next year's elections were discussed. Reece is elected YMP Oxford North in January 2008:

Reece was elected in January 2008, having won the support of his local MP, and, with the help of his campaign team, swept to victory. His deputy is Nathan Sinclair. The big ideas that helped him win the election included:

Oyster card system for North Oxfordshire.
New youth parliament with modernisation.
More ways to tell me what you want.
Making MPs actually listen.
Better ways for the media to see young people.
More ways to meet people.
To help with charity at home and abroad.
Set up a whole system for young people to meet me.
Assemblies in schools.
Massive employment availability for young people.
Massive changes to media portrayal of young people.
Large ways to communicate and develop areas for young people.
