Vale Youth Forum Website - Contributors

Members of the team consider design possibilitiesThis website has been put together with the help of a team of young people from the Vale Youth Forum. They set out to make a webpage with three key priorities in mind:

Read on, or listen to the videos, to find out who helped design this site, why they think the Youth Forum is important, and why you should get involved, too.

Lucy

Hi, I'm Lucy and I go to 6th Form in Abingdon. Getting involved in the Youth Forum has opened a lot of options for me and deepened my interest in politics, and it's a really great opportunity for young people. I'm now part of the Youth Cabinet which will be working more actively on youth projects in the Vale. We need your input for this, though -- so get involved!

Julian

As part of the Youth Forum I've been to the House Of Parliament several times and also had the opportunity to visit the European Parliament. The Youth Forum has given me invaluable skills, including communication and self-confidence.

Sean

My name is Sean, I'm sixteen and currently in my last year of school studying performing arts subjects. The youth forum is fun, serious, opinionated, and delicious! It's about how we make and do things in different ways.

Maria

Hi, my name is maria. I started to get involved in the Youth Forum in Year 9. I like joining in the activities, and it is very interesting. It helps you learn new things about your local area, such as the environment, connexions and many more.

Tom

What's good about the Youth Forum is that it's an interesting place with relevant topics, and a load of people who have interesting and diverse opinions. It's a place to discuss issues that affect you in a place where everyone has a varied opinion -- and there's the councillors, and they're learning off you just as you're learning off them.
