Meet iAN

Ian the Fun GiWhen young people met to discuss the new design for the YOF application form and website they agreed that having a character who would give them hints and tips and check they'd filled in the forms properly would be useful.

The character they came up with is iAN. You can see him on the right there. He's here to:

Throughout the website you'll find boxes like this one here, which contain iAN's information tips on how to make your application go smoothly.

iAN says....There's extra information and important checklists on the Application Form. As well as reading the website, it's a really good idea to print out a copy of the Youth Opportunity Fund Application Form so you can read through it with the other young people involved in the project.

If you're still having problems getting your application together, you can contact Youth Opportunity Fund Manager Melanie Clarke on the following details, but please check through the Frequently Asked Questions List first to see if your query has already been answered.

How did iAN the fun guy come into being?

Checking the sumsMembers of the Divisional Youth Forums have regular meetings where they discuss ways to improve the process of applying to the Youth Opportunity and Capital Funds.

They also discuss ways of improving the process of allocating and approving grants.

At these meetings, some young people help by writing content and others by selecting or drawing designs, like this one.
