Connexions is a new advice and guidance service especially for
young people, all about giving young people the best start in life.
It offers a range of guidance and support for 13 to 19 year olds,
to help make the transition to adult life a smooth one, and provides
guidance, advice and support to help with decisions about life,
education and career choices.
The Connexions
Youth Charter, written by and for young people, tells any young
person who is using the Connexions service what they are entitled
to, and what they can expect from the service. The challenge for
the competition was to create a design which would complement the
words of the Charter and make the Charter unique and noticeable.
Entries to the competition were received from all across the Milton
Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire regions, and were judged
by a panel of Connexions staff and young people. The winning design
was by a young person from Buckinghamshire, Claire Graham. The five
runners up were Dominic Espinosa, Mark Agnew, Chris Giliberti, Marie
Phipps and Louis Sheppard.
Thanks to all the young people from Oxfordshire who entered the
competition: you can see some of their
entries here.
