The whole DJ-ing and MC-ing thing really took off with two big contests, held at the Barn. Young people came from all over town to compete, and some of them went on to become regulars at the Barn party nights.

Others of them went onto form Crews Control, who organise parties at the Barn. Working alongside these young people, youth workers have developed two accredited courses, in party promotion and DJ-ing, which is now offered to young people taking part in the DJ sessions at the Barn.

The Trax project takes a group of young people and teaches them everything about go-karting. You start off Karting and you end up building your own go-kart.
