Need Emergency contraception? Where to find the Morning After Pill

Alec Turnbull Clinic : drop in and be seen

Easter Activities flierThe Alec Turnbull Clinic is Oxford's Family Planning Clinic. The clinic provides a drop-in service for anyone that offers free family planning (contraceptive) advice, information and treatments. Usual opening hours are Mon-Wed 9.30am-7pm, Thu-Fri 9.30am-4pm, and Saturday 10.30am-1.30pm,

On Tuesday, 8th May 2007 The Alec Turnbull Family Planning Clinic moved to Raglan House, Between Towns Road, Cowley, Oxford, OX4 3LX (Find it), very close to the main Cowley Centre bus stop (services 1,5, and several others stop there).

The Alec Turnbull Clinic is Oxford's main family planning clinic. It offers contraception, emergency contraception (the "morning after pill"), pregnancy and smear tests, counselling and advice for unwanted pregnancies.

You can get all this from your GP, but at the Alec Turnbull the service is anonymous, though they may ask to contact your GP if they need to examine your medical records.

The clinic does not make appointments for first visits, it's purely drop-in. This means that you may be waiting for some time, so leave plenty of time for your visit, even if you're going in for something simple.

If you're worried about your visit, you can call 01865 456666 before you visit, to check opening hours and, you never know, they might be able to answer your query over the phone!
