Youth Opportunity Fund Celebration Event!
On Thu 3rd April, people involved in working with and promoting the interests of young people in Oxfordshire -- as well as plenty of local Young People, Oxfordshire's Youth MPs and local dignitaries -- attended a Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF) and Youth Capital Fund (YCF) Celebration Event.
In the last two years, over 350 local youth projects have received funding from the YOF and YCF. This event was an chance to showcase the acheivements of some of the local young people involved.
Local young people gave performances, talks and displays, including morris dancing, MCing, and a film about bullying.
While the event featured just a small selection of the local youth organisations, groups and projects which have benefited from the Youth Opportunity Fund and Youth Capital Fund, it nevertheless provided a great flavour of how much good these local funds have accomplished so far.
More about the Funds
Youth Opportunity Funds and Youth Capital Funds are funds for young people's projects. Applications are made by local young people, and groups of local young people -- the Divisional Youth Forums -- judge applications and grant funding.
Thinking of applying for funding yourself?
