MEET THE BEANS!

Julian Beab Name: Julian Brewer
Age: 14
Julian has been involved in the youth forum for 2 years, he got involved through his school. Julian likes the youth forum as it allows him to express his opinion on the Vale. Kathryn has been in the Youth Forum for two years. She thinks it is interesting. She supports the Liberal Democrats and wants to be a Liberal Democrat politician in the future. She describes herself as "pedantic, childish and argumentative". She also wants to do Voluntary Service Overseas and has an interest in educational cartooning.

Once upon a time, two years ago to be exact, a young chap called Chris Tolley attended the Youth Forum. He found it to be both interesting and educational and proclaimed, "it is fun and relevant for the young of today". Throughout the land he declared his admiration for Tony Blair and Lady Thatcher. He wanted the land to know of their bravery in battle and lack of fear for the consequences. Lord Tolley was known for his great skills in the sports of rugby, American football and swimming, whist maintaining his passion for the legend known as the playstation. One day, he voyaged to the Great Fortune Teller; and as she looked in her crystal ball, she declared he would soon work in the land of advertising, after his great success in politics.

My name is David Webster, I have been in the Youth Forum for roughly 2 years. I think that the Youth Forum is useful, with good food, while discussing interesting issues. If I was a member of a political party I would be a Tory. I got involved because my Year Head, Mr Webber, made me, and it turned out to be rather interesting. I am in a cricket club, and a sea scout, however, I am leaving for 6 months so I can gain respect as a Young Leader. When I grow up I would like to be a Conservative politician.

Lauren Evans is 16 and she has been in the Youth Forum for three years. She was nominated by her peers, because she likes voicing her opinions and enjoys debating. She thinks the Youth Forum is a brilliant opportunity for young people to speak their mind. Her hero is herself, and she likes basketball, rowing, swimming and judo.

HOW THIS PAGE WAS MADE

Beans have opinions! While looking for a distinctive look for the illustrations on the home page, we hit on the beans. Simple of shape, but LOUD of voice, the beans aren't afraid to get their opinions across!

Soon, everyone was drawing the bean version of themselves, but a few people preferred to use photographs, instead or as well.

The profiles were created by one person interviewing another. There were a few standard questions, but style and extra information was up to the person writing the profile.

After the profiles were written, they were checked by the editor and the person interviewed to make sure that they made sense and stuck to the facts!
