CINEMAS, FILMS & VIDEO

Want to find out more about films? Summerscreen, Oxfordshire's film festival for young people, is on at the end of July, and offers something for film fans as well as for young people who want to make their own films. Lots of young people in Oxfordshire's Youth Centres have had the chance to get involved in short film projects, making documentaries, animations, music, video and more, sometimes in partnership with groups like MAP (left) and OFVM. You can see animations, mask shows and more produced at East Oxford Youth Centre last summer in the Gallery at the moment. Fancy doing something similar yourself? Visit your local youth centre and ask about video and animation projects.
