JULY - FOCUS ON SUN AND FUN
Welcome to Festival Season on Spired.com! In July Oxfordshire's music festivals really get started. As well as finding out what's on in the gardens, streets and parks we're also looking at seasonal safety, with sun safety tips for walkers, sunbathers and festival-goers, as well as providing crucial information on how to hang out safely in and around Oxfordshire's many rivers. Be sure to also check out our section in the Survival Guide on the Great Outdoors! If you fancy something a bit closer to home, why not see what's going on in your local Young People's Centre's Summer programme. They ususally start towards the end of July, and offer all sorts of fun stuff, including film, trips, BBQs, canoeing, arts, bike projects and more, more, more!
GETTING OUT AND ABOUT
Getting around Oxfordshire can be a challenge if you're short of a lift or don't have much money.
On the transport pages of Spired.com, you can find links and advice to help you get around, and get home again afterwards.
And don't assume that you have to get to Oxford to have any fun, either; there's plenty going on in the rest of the county.
